Pocket Book Publishing was founded in 2006.

We are a publisher with a unique concept, and we think outside the square. Unlike traditional publishing houses we are offering an opportunity to the short story writer. The pocket book was created for this specific reason and we only publish short stories.

We guarantee. If after submitting a minimum of 5 short stories over a one year period, you have not had at least one story published. You need only to ask in writting and you will receive a full refund of your membership fee. We will work with you and encourage you to seek assistance from your writers club or group. We want to see your story published into our pocket books.

Our Goal is to invite writers of short stories, from all walks of life, to register with us as writer members for the specific reason of submitting their work, for publication into the pocket books.

Our vision is to have an international writer membership of writers being paid for their work and sharing with them the sales of pocket books. Also to tout to the movie and television industry, the stories that come from these writers as new and innovative material for consideration and adaptation as TV series or feature films.

The Editor

There are many good writers out there with new and different stories. They are not famous writers, they don’t necessarily write bestsellers and some of them are amateur writers with no formal training but they write great stories that are a bloody good read. They are you and me. I first became a publisher in 1996 with a music and entertainment tabloid. However, the short story writers remained at the back of my mind. I now have the opportunity to do something about it and pickapocketbook is the culmination of three years hard work and planning.

I know how hard it is to get a publisher to answer your phone call let alone get a manuscript read and as a frustrated writer of short stories and novels myself, I know the book publishers won’t accept unsolicited manuscripts, and I know they only want to publish well known writers or famous people. And then there are the publishers who will publish your book at a price, leaving you to try to sell it.
